Boredom in Summer

I know I haven't blogged about anything for ages now...I have been helping out at my church's kindergarten, Tadika Rajawali. And I had a week off for Chinese New Year...

Well, this is like the first time in years we had a Reunion Dinner since what we usually have is Reunion Lunch because according to mom, it is more convenient and there wouldn't be such a rush to clear the dishes... If you're wondering what our Reunion Dinner was like..take a look at the picture...there's just Mom, Dad, Audrey and me....

Yup, pretty simple eh??? Audrey and I wished that we could experience the "commercialized Reunion Dinner" which is always shown in the TV whereby lots of relatives sit around a big round table...and the kiddies say, "Ah Gong, Ah Ma, jiak peng!" Then everyone feasts happily and besides, I want to have a go with pulling the Yee Sang..whatever that is because I never tasted it before...

On the last day of the year, my neighbourhood friends and I would usually hang out together and chat..burn some newspapers for fun which we didn't do this year because it's kinda lame now and besides, we're facing global warming. Shereen, David, Wendy, my sister and I were pretty much cooped up in our house as the stupid and annoying kids outside were lighting "cai lei"( a type of firecracker) which I'm pretty much afraid of as they are VERY LOUD!!!! Another thing is we didn't get to play with sparkles too as we finished our supply last year....So, it was quite a bore at first before we decided it was "cai lei" free and went out....

Well, I made a video of what was left to blog...because I'm lazy to put it to words...Hahahaha...
